To Solar Panel or Not????
Bottom line. Where will you be doing the most of your camping? If you live and camp east of the Mississippi most of your campsites will be under trees. I've found my solar panels are not very helpful, unless I park in open fields. A better option is a Dc to Dc converter hooked into your alternator. Then, anytime you drive the alternator output is converter to the PROPER charging current profile for your house batteries. And they are so much cheaper than the solar panel set-up.
