Well, this was scary! We decided to take a quick getaway from Denver to Manitou Springs over Father’s Day weekend. As we took our exit off the highway we had the windows down and could hear a strange noise bouncing off the concrete barriers. We thought maybe we had a flat tire so pulled around the corner into the gas station to find this!! The wheel and the the lug completely destroyed! 😳 There weren’t any repair shops open since it was Sunday and a holiday so we limped to our RV site just a couple more miles down the road. We left messages at a handful of repair shops hoping someone could come out and fix it first thing in the morning, chilled with a glass of wine by the fire, and pulled up videos of how to replace a hub on YouTube. It looked surprisingly easy and so Monday morning we found a place nearby that had both a hub and a replacement wheel…. (We forgot to bring our spare 🙄) We were able to get everything handled in short order and got to get out and enjoy the rest of the day. We now have a “pre-flight” safety checklist with checking the lug nuts at the top of the list!!! 😉 Safe travels everyone!

A few new additions… we finally got arms for our rock guard, filled our propane tanks, installed a closet rod, curtains, shower curtain, bathroom mirror, tp & towel holders and… a queen sized purple mattress! Even though we still have a few items to complete, i.e. doors and drawers mainly, all systems are working. 😎👍

Playing catch up… the backsplash turned out fabulous! Yes, it’s glass tile adhered with musslebound. The bed platform is in with hydraulic lift arms to reveal storage space, bench seat / electrical cover is installed , and our solid poplar pocket door to the bathroom is in and working!

Some things we did in October: mounted the propane tanks, put trim on the bottom edge, ran our shore power cord, hooked up black and gray tanks, and put in luxury vinyl flooring. We’re getting closer! 🤓
