Got hail damage?
BEWARE of those storm chasers and shops that only fix 80 % of your hail damage. The last time it stormed here we inspected and properly repaired countless vehicles that were taken to some storm chaser company or to the local dealership that signed a contract with a out of town storm chaser company and the vehicles looked like they only fixed 80% of each dent. If you can see marks and little waves in the panels where every dent was, or a scratch and pry marks on every interior trim panel then your car was not fixed properly.
CARSTAR Arnold can take care of that hail damage for you, and we would love to earn your business. We have been fixing hail and dents in Arnold for over 40 years.
You wouldn't take your vehicle to just anyone if you were in a accident, so don't take it to just anyone for hail repair.
Hail repair to today's modern vehicles can be very extensive. Did you know that, in repairing hail damage, technicians must completely disassemble parts of the vehicle to properly gain access to body panels? For example, they may have to remove your vehicles headliner and all interior pillar trim panels that are part of your Airbag system, without damaging or staining anything. They may have to disassemble and remove your hood, trunk/tailgate, headlamps, tail lamps sunroofs, windows and sometimes bumpers, fender liners and door panels. That also includes Radar sensors, parking sensors, and cameras that are part of your cars ADAS system (Advanced Driver Alert Systems) which adds the need for proper scanning, programming and calibrating of those systems to verify that all of the safety systems are functioning correctly after reassembly.
Last spring, hail claim estimates in our area ranged from $3000.00 to $25,000.00 depending on the severity of the damage.
Here are a few things to keep in mind when you're choosing a place to have your vehicle repaired:
Are they I-CAR gold class certified?
Are they really recommended by your insurance company?
Do they follow and document OEM repair procedures?
Do they have a proven track record that they can properly repair today's modern vehicles and still maintain the highest customer satisfaction ratings?
Do they offer a lifetime warranty on all repairs? (including hail)
Where will you go if there is a problem after the tent and plastic Banners are long gone and headed to the next town?
Any shop can say they “work with all insurance companies”. That's really just a fancy way of saying they just send the estimate to the insurance company, and then collect the money.
That doesn't mean they are truly recommended by any insurance companies. Sometimes, shops and P.D.R (Paintless Dent Removal) companies are only recommended because they give the insurance company a discount.
You should look for a shop that is on the insurance programs because of their good performance, quality and customers satisfaction, not just because of discounts.
We have many reputable shops in Jefferson County that can repair your vehicle properly. It's always your decision as to who repairs your vehicle. Do your research, and decide which one is best for you.
