It's been a crazy busy couple of weeks and although I was hoping to get the #420 car done to hit the track Saturday night unfortunately the transmission on the water truck finally had enough and needed to be changed. The problem is where do you find a transmission for an old dinosaur like this? Ya don't, we upgraded the old beast to an eaton metric fro16210c 10 speed. We had to do some modifications to get it done, the input shafts were different and just by chance we were able to find the parts we needed at a supplier to get it switched. After transmission installation, the driveshafts length needed to be addressed, since this wasn't a highway vehicle we shortened that "in house". After a shifter modification by 7:00 pm Friday night it was ready to go to work!
