Thinking about flipping cars? Most people get stuck on the same questions, and Reddit is full of them.

Do I need a retail lot? Is an auction broker the same as having my own license? How many cars can I sell before the state says I'm a dealer?

We pulled the most common car flipping questions from real Reddit threads and answered them in plain English, with the state sources behind each answer.

A few things people are often surprised by:
- "No retail lot" does not mean "no location." Wholesale licenses still have office and setup requirements.
- Buying through a broker means you're buying under their license, on their terms.
- A wholesale license lets you sell to other licensed dealers, not to the public.
