The Yamaha YZF-R7 works because it doesn’t try to be a mini R1. 🏍️😎

Its 689cc CP2 twin makes strong, linear torque lower in the rev range, which means you don’t have to wring it out constantly to have fun. For 2026, Yamaha also sharpened the chassis and added more sophisticated electronics, including a six-axis IMU, lean-sensitive traction control, slide control, lift control, brake control and a third-generation quickshifter.

That gives the R7 a pretty clear personality:
🏍️ More approachable than a liter-bike
⚡ Stronger real-world torque than a traditional high-revving supersport
🎯 Precise enough for track days and twisty roads
🧠 Modern rider aids without losing the direct feel that makes the bike fun

It’s a strong choice for someone who wants a serious sportbike experience without feeling like they need 1000cc performance every time they leave the driveway.

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue…

And apparently, something with a Rotax engine. 💍🌊

Chris and his soon-to-be wife decided to celebrate their upcoming marriage with a wedding gift to themselves: a Sea-Doo Spark!

With the wedding less than two weeks away when they picked it up, we’d say they’ve already got a pretty good head start on making memories together.

We love this idea. Not every wedding gift has to fit in a box, and some of the best things you can give each other are more adventures to share.

Chris, congratulations to you both on the upcoming wedding! Thank you for letting Arlington Motorsports be a tiny part of such a big chapter in your lives.

Apparently, the right motorcycle was worth a trip up I-35. 🏍️

Tracey made the drive from Temple, Texas, to Arlington Motorsports to pick up this pre-owned 2023 Kawasaki KLR650.

🏍️ There’s a specific kind of rider the Yamaha Ténéré 700 makes sense for: The one who sees a gravel road turn off the highway and immediately wonders where it goes.

That’s really the appeal of this bike. It’s comfortable covering pavement, but it doesn’t feel like it needs the pavement to continue having a good day.

The Ténéré 700 gives you enough road manners for longer stretches, enough suspension and ground clearance for rougher routes, and a manageable enough package that exploring doesn’t automatically turn into wrestling a giant adventure bike.

You can commute on it. Travel on it. Camp off it. Take the long way home.

And when the road changes halfway through the ride, you don’t have to change the plan.

Some people see rain in the forecast and cancel their plans. Others start making them. 😏

Fall in North Texas means cooler temperatures, changing trail conditions, and a whole lot of reasons to get back outside.

And Robert has a question for y'all: What kind of off-road trouble are we getting into this season?

Because there's a BIG difference between an ATV built to tackle deep mud and a side-by-side designed to crawl over rocky terrain.

Some machines earn their keep by looking impressive. 😎

The Can-Am Defender earns it by still being useful when it’s covered in mud.
That’s the point of a true utility side-by-side. It needs to carry gear, haul supplies, move around property, handle rough ground and be ready to do it again tomorrow.

For ranches, hunting land, acreage and jobsite use, the Defender makes sense because the utility features are not an afterthought. The cargo bed, towing capability and work-focused layout are built around actually getting something done. 💪

The question we’d ask before recommending one isn’t “How much power do you want?”

It’s what do you need this machine to do every week?

That answer usually tells us which Defender configuration makes sense a lot faster.

😂 You gotta clean your toys when you’re done playing with them.
Especially when your Texas bike comes home wearing Oklahoma. 😏

Robert made it back from the 15th Annual Sooner Adventure Ride with plenty of good memories, some great miles under his belt…and approximately every available shade of Oklahoma dirt attached to the motorcycle.

And really, that’s how you know it was a worthwhile weekend.

The ride included everything from longer adventure loops to some proper single-track sections, so this wasn’t exactly a “wipe it down with a microfiber and call it good” situation.

🧼 Rinse.
🪣 Scrub.
🚿 Rinse again.
👀 Find dirt somewhere you swear dirt physically could not have gotten.
🔁 Repeat.

No motorcycles were permanently converted from Texas residency during the making of this post.

Probably.
