Do you know what makes a vehicle a totaled or salvage title vehicle? A lot of people don't. It happens when the amount to repair the vehicle exceed 75% of the value of the vehicle, but you gotta ask yourself why was it really totaled? Was it unsafe or did it just cost too much to repair? 95% of the time there's no structural damage, it's just that the parts allowed by the insurance company cost too much to repair the vehicle back to pre-loss condition as recommended by the vehicle manufacturer. In this case, the owner was able to buy the vehicle and purchase the parts they wanted to put on it and pay to get it fixed and still save themselves $10,000 versus the cost of buying the exact same vehicle on the lot, and the vehicle only has 20,000 miles. Sounds like a good deal but hey what do I know? I'm just a guy that fixes cars and if you happen to be in need of a newer vehicle a rebuilt, salvage title can be the way to go.
