We swapped out a hail damaged awning fabric for a customer this morning. Then, 2 slide toppers and two Maxx air vent covers on another customer's unit this afternoon. Some units have an awning off the slide room itself, and others say you can't install a topper on that room due to space constraints. Well, we found a way to install this topper, and it turned out great. It clears the direct awning below and also the main awning to the immediate right of the topper. If you experienced any wind or hail damage, give us a call or text, and we will help you out 716-258-1739

Had a customer that had some issues with an outlet in there add a room and it kept tripping the breaker. The manufacturer had 6 outlets on one GFCI. The issue was in the add a room they had a free standing portable AC unit and when that was running that didn't have enough capacity. We opened up the wall and ran a new dedicated 20 amp line to there add a room and now they can make a cup of coffee in the kitchen while running their AC in the add a room and no more tripped GFCI outlets. Thank you Jim and Bev for the years of business and we hope you enjoy your room a little more now.

Let's talk about rubber roofs for a minute. Many rv owners never think about their roofs unless they have an active leak in them. Well you should walk or have someone walk your roof at least once but ideally two times a season minimum. We usually recommend once in the spring when opening the unit and once in the fall before putting it away. This ensures that potential and active leaks are identified and taken care of before big problems arise.
The other thing we recommend is roof washing and using a UV protectant .When rubber roofs age and get sun baked they become chalky. The chalk shows up on your hands, knees and boots when inspecting the roof. It's not just some residue it's your actual roof breaking down and that's why UV protectant is important. It stops the UV harmful rays and reflects it like sunscreen for your roof. It removes chalking and conditions the roof and leaves the UV fighting film behind to protect it.
This brings us to the next bit of information and that's RV roof covers. Many use them and have good luck others have tried them and they turned to shreds. Our honest opinion is not to use them. We understand what they are intended for but I can prove and have seen on multiple units the damage they cause to painted side walls and end caps and also they degrade and wear the edge of your roofs. The pictures I will share show the roof chalk I was talking about and the pictures also show the edge wear on the corners they have chaffed thru the rubber and was cut right thru to the roof decking causing a lot more damage then you would honestly think it is doing.
Now I'm not here saying you can't use one or you shouldn't that's up to the end consumer. If you have had good luck then continue using it. If you have used one and it is torn to pieces or it caused damage then you know the pain they can cause plus the additional cost of buying one.
Bottom line is to check the roofs and avoid costly repairs before they happen by some preventive maintenance. If you need help or want to schedule a roof walk inspection or have a roof wash and UV treatment done give us a call at 716-258-1739 we are here to help and provide the services to our ever growing customer base

Here is a soft floor repair we took care of from an on going leak on a park model that has leaked since new and the fridge was falling thru the floor. New floor decking and supports and stained trim to finish it off. We had an older 5th wheel that is in great shape for its age but had a leaking toilet into the lower storage area and found a torn and lifted gasket causing the issues. Then we replaced a leaking hot water tank with a new updated model and retrofitted it into the hole as the new tanks are not as wide as the old one.

This week was a busy week. Roof wash and coating, slide topper installation, couple dewinterizations and one found quite a few broken things from the previous owner not winterizing the unit properly. Replaced some bad spots in Park model floor along with slide room exterior seals, repaired a broken slide out motor, chased some electrical issues and got them sorted out. Repaired a leaking grey tank and hot water tank, then replaced some gutter rail and patched some holes in the roof from a tree that fell on the unit. If you need any work please reach out to the office today and get on the schedule 716-258-1739

Here's an older montana 5th wheel that needed a good wash and scrub. This one took some extra time and elbow grease but it turned out awesome after a good power wash, brush scrub and rinse. Thanks Skip for letting us detail the outside of your unit and trusting us to make it look clean and shiny once again. Give us a call to book an exterior wall wash or roof wash with UV treatment along with a side wash. We have a few different packages to choose from call for more information.
