Hofer's Mobile Mechanics

09/30/2026

We are happy to announce that we have officially welcomed our beautiful daughter, Presley, into the world! 💗

Beginning Wednesday, September 30th, Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics LLC will be resuming normal business operations and accepting service calls and appointments.

Our daughter is currently receiving care in the NICU. While we are hopeful everything will continue progressing well, we do want to make our customers aware that unexpected circumstances could arise requiring us to temporarily step away or reschedule appointments on short notice.

We fully intend to operate on our normal schedule, and we anticipate minimal disruptions. However, our daughter’s health and our family’s needs will remain our first priority during this time.

We sincerely appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding, and support as we welcome this new chapter in our lives. We look forward to getting back out there and taking care of our customers!

Thank you for supporting our family-owned, veteran-owned small business!

Business Operations Update

Tonight, our family began the induction process as we prepare to welcome our newborn daughter, Presley, into the world.

While we are at the hospital over the next couple of days, all business calls will be silenced so I can remain focused on my wife and family. Please leave a voicemail, and I will return calls as I am able.

Service requests can still be submitted at HofersMobileMechanics.com and will be reviewed as soon as possible.

We are tentatively planning to resume normal business operations Wednesday, depending on how the next couple of days progress.

We greatly appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding during this time and look forward to getting back to serving our customers soon.

Sunday calls don’t always end like this 😂🔥

Got a call around 3 PM today from a customer in Port Aransas who needed alternators replaced. They were from out of town and trying to get back home, so we loaded up, grabbed the parts, and were on-site around 4:30.

Got everything replaced, verified the charging system was putting out proper voltage, and started packing up the tools like any other job.

Then they handed me a plate of food as a tip.

These are the customers you remember a year from now. We appreciate the business, but little things like this genuinely make a long Sunday worth it.

And I’m not gonna lie — the food was absolutely 🔥😂

Thank y’all for trusting Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics to get you back on the road!

SERVICE AREA & RATE UPDATE — HOFER’S MOBILE MECHANICS

Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics is now based in Corpus Christi, TX.

Our website has not been fully updated yet and may still show our previous location or service-area information. Website updates are coming soon. All current dispatch and service-call pricing is now calculated from our Corpus Christi dispatch area.

SERVICE CALL RATES

0–16 driving miles:
$50 service call fee

17–30 driving miles:
$125 extended service call fee

Over 30 miles:
Contact us for availability and service-call pricing.

Service-call mileage is calculated from our private Corpus Christi dispatch location. Our residential/business dispatch address is not publicly listed.

Because Corpus Christi and the surrounding communities cover large areas, the exact fee is determined by the service address rather than simply the city or ZIP code.

GENERAL SERVICE AREA

Corpus Christi — 784xx
Typically $50 depending on location

Portland — 78374
Approximately $50–$125 depending on address

Gregory — 78359

Monday–Thursday: $150
Friday–Saturday: $200
Major holiday weekends: $250

AFTER-HOURS SERVICE

After-hours fee: $150
This fee is added to the applicable service-call fee.

Example:
$50 service call + $150 after-hours fee = $200 before diagnostic or repair labor.

We will continue servicing many of our longtime customers throughout Aransas Pass, Ingleside, Rockport, Portland and surrounding communities. Travel pricing is simply calculated from our new Corpus Christi location.

We are currently owner-operated, so I am personally handling scheduling, diagnostics, repairs and customer communication.

SERVICE AREA UPDATE — HOFER’S MOBILE MECHANICS

We’ve officially relocated!

Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics is now based just outside Corpus Christi, TX. With the move, we’re updating our local service area and travel rates to better reflect our new location.

What this means for our customers:

• Corpus Christi and surrounding areas are now our primary local service area.
• Dispatch/travel pricing will now be calculated from our new location.
• Previous local rates for Aransas Pass, Ingleside, Rockport, and surrounding areas may no longer apply.
• We will still travel to many of the communities we previously served — pricing will simply be based on distance from our new location.

We are currently owner-operated, so I am personally handling scheduling, diagnostics, repairs, and customer communication. Our hours remain 9 AM–6 PM, and appointments are handled as efficiently as possible based on availability.

We appreciate everyone who has continued to support Hofer’s Mobile Mechanics through all of these changes. We’re looking forward to continuing to provide professional mobile diagnostics and automotive repair throughout the Corpus Christi area.
