WESTMORELAND BMX BOARD NOMINATIONS ARE OPEN

It’s that time of year again. We’re accepting nominations for the Westmoreland BMX Board, and we’d really like to see some new people step up and get involved.

The following positions are up for nomination:

- Track Operator — 2-year term
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Registration/Clerk of Course
- Concessions
- Rider Representative
- Members at Large — 2 positions

All positions are one-year terms except Track Operator, which is a two-year term.

We’re looking for energetic, enthusiastic people who want to be part of what we’re building at Westmoreland BMX. A lot of work has gone into improving the track and growing our program, and we want to keep that momentum going. We need people who are willing to get involved, bring some fresh ideas to the table, and help us build on what we’ve already accomplished and take the track to the next level.

If you know someone who would be a good fit, nominate them. If you’ve thought about getting more involved yourself, nominate yourself. You can submit nominations by emailing [email protected] or simply leave a nomination in the comments on this post.

Nominations must be received by October 16th.

Voting will take place October 24th at our Halloween Race. Voting will be held rain or shine and whether the race itself is held or not.

Voting is one vote per household, unless a rider is 18 or older, in which case that rider is also eligible to cast their own vote.

We’ve accomplished a lot at Westmoreland BMX, and there’s still plenty we want to do. We’re looking for people who want to be a part of making that happen.

We don’t normally use our Westmoreland BMX platform to promote events outside of our own track, but every once in a while, there’s a good reason to make an exception — and this is definitely one of those times.

We want to help spread the word about Stoke the Midwest 2, happening October 16–18 at Redneck Ranch in Butler, Ohio!

For those who may not know, BJ Wagner is the original builder of the DK Dirt Circuit at Redneck Ranch — and, more importantly to us, he’s the guy responsible for building the fantastic track we get to call home and race on every week at Westmoreland BMX.

BJ has put a tremendous amount of time, talent, and hard work into BMX, including everything he’s done for us. So when we have an opportunity to return the favor and help get some people out to support an event happening on his property, we’re more than happy to do it.

Stoke the Midwest 2 is a three-day BMX weekend with the whole park open, featuring the Mini Ramp Jam, Kids Jam, Work Street Jam, Quarterpipe Jam, Spine Jam, DK Dirt Circuit, and more. There’s also $2,000 cash up for grabs and special guest Brandon Dosch.

🔥 October 16–18, 2026
🚲 $20 weekend rider pass
👀 $10 weekend spectator pass
🏕️ Camping available — $20 per night/per person
📍 Redneck Ranch — 3495 Tugend Rd., Butler, Ohio

If you’ve ever rolled a lap at Westmoreland BMX and enjoyed the track BJ built for us, here’s a chance to return a little of that support.

Make the trip, ride some bikes, and let’s show BJ and the Redneck Ranch crew some love at Stoke the Midwest 2! 🤘🚲
