Nothing like starting the weekend off right, took a tumble over at parking lot on the tar and did a number on my hip, shoulder, and hand! Pics don’t show the damage to my hip. I can’t wait to see the bruising tomorrow, it’s not gonna be good! I am definitely too old to be falling like that Ugh! I am thankful it could have been worse!

20 MPH feels different when you hit the ground.

Everyone seems to want an e-bike or e-scooter these days—and there are hundreds available on Facebook Marketplace. They’re fun, fast, quiet, and clean.

But riding one doesn’t make you invincible.

At those speeds, a crash can break bones, fracture your face, send you to the emergency room—or send a pedestrian jumping out of the way when you silently zip past at 20+ MPH.

E-bike injuries treated in emergency rooms are rising, according to the American College of Surgeons. So are deaths associated with them.

Wear the helmet.

That’s Safety Tip #1. Here are the rest:

• Follow local traffic laws
• Stay off sidewalks
• See and be seen—wear bright clothing
• Use reflectors, headlamps, a bell, or a horn
• Avoid abrupt, unpredictable movements
• Watch where you’re going—and watch for obstacles

Crashes happen, and people get hurt. Following these common-sense tips increases the chance that you—and everyone else on the road or trail—make it safely to work, school, home, or wherever you’re headed.

E-bikes can be a fun, fast way to get around this summer.
Just remember: They don’t make you invincible.

I have seen a lot of stuff keep an engine down but this one had me stumped for awhile! Customer brings bike in with a brand new engine he just picked up yesterday with stripped out cover bolts, stripped out recoil, carb installed so when standing on the one side I could look into the back of intake, rear tire wobble that ended up to be the bearing were completely gone in rear, I don’t mean just bad! They were literally missing! Plus a slew of other things but he said it would not start. This broken off pilot jet was the culprit the whole time! 🤦🏼‍♂️😂
