What a day on the Solent! The 95th Round the Island Race was hailed as one of the best in years, over 800 boats, sunshine, good breeze, and Farr designs flying across every class. ⛵

Here's how Farr fleet fared in the top ten:

Five Farr designs in the top ten across five classes. On a course that has humbled boats and crews for 95 years, that's a result worth celebrating.

Bravo Zulu to every Farr design crew who took on this iconic yacht race, top ten or not, and a of course a "tilt" of the hat to Tilt for the class win. 🌟

This is what sailing is really about. 🌊

Stride Forward, a national charity supporting people who have suffered serious physical trauma, competed in the Round the Island Race for the very first time this year — aboard Whirlwind, a Farr 65 (Des 421). Their crew included sailors with traumatic brain injuries, amputations, severe burns, and visual impairment — many of whom had never set foot on a racing yacht before.

Skippered by record-breaking circumnavigator Brian Thompson and organized by charity founder Holly King, the team didn’t race to win. They raced to prove that the water belongs to everyone.

Proud that a Farr design carried them around the Island. 💙

117th Chicago Mackinac Race starts on the 10th and 11th of July with more than 260 entrants racing 333 miles to Mackinac Island.

A lot of Farr designs will be taking on the challenge this year. From the STP65 "Sagamore" (D604) with her turbo'd up bowsprit to the sporty cant keel Farr 11S’s "Turbo Gary" and "Trompe Le Monde" (D613); 6 Farr 395’s (D468), 3 Farr 40’s (D374) and the Farr 60 "Damn Yankee" (D414). We’ll be closely following the competitive two Farr one design fleets for the Beneteau First 36.7’s [18 entrants!] (D 446) and First 40.7 [8 Entrants] (D354).

Congratulations to the crews flying the Farr flag at the 2° Campionato Italiano Open ORC International Double Handed in Palermo!

🥇 Melagado, aFirst 34.7 (Des 543) clinched the Italian Open Championship in Class C - a brilliant result across a multi-day offshore series against a competitive double-handed fleet in Sicilian waters.

In Class AB, 🥈 Sagola (Farr 45 (Des 369)) pushed all the way to equal points with the class winner, securing a podium finish in one of the tightest contests of the regatta.

Two Farr designs. Two podiums. One beautiful venue. Grazie Palermo! 🌊

A 20-year-old Farr design is heading back to the biggest stages in offshore racing. 🌊

French skipper Robin Marais has acquired the former Coup de Pouce, a Farr Design (603) IMOCA 60, launched in 2006 for Jean-Pierre Dick, renaming her Respire and lining up for the Route du Rhum-Destination Guadeloupe in November and ultimately the Vendée Globe 2028.

Marais steps up from the Figaro circuit to IMOCA, bringing with him serious offshore credentials and a long-held dream of circling the globe solo. The boat is already in her new colors at Les Sables-d’Olonne and the project is building momentum.

A Farr IMOCA design, two decades old and still chasing the biggest races on the planet. Some hulls never stop fighting. ⛵

Congratulations to Senatore on winning the ORC Open class at the 2026 Maryland Cures Cancer Regatta! 🏆
The Farr 40 (Des 374) took top honors on home waters right here on the Chesapeake Bay, hosted by Eastport Yacht Club in Annapolis.
The event served as the official kickoff of the 2026 Triple Crown of Charity Sailing, with proceeds benefiting the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. The Triple Crown continues later this season with the CRAB Cup and the Hospice Cup, three great regattas, three great causes, all on the Chesapeake.
Racing for a cause that matters, on a boat that performs. 🌊

Congratulations to Flashwave, helmed by Andrew MacDonald, on winning the 2026 Farr 1020 National Championship at Bucklands Beach Yacht Club, Auckland! 🏆

Five wins from seven races in tricky light and fickle conditions over two days of fog, shifting breezes and nail-biting tactical battles. A masterclass in patience and reading the shifts — especially impressive given Flashwave sailed to the start line after an engine issue forced an overnight stop at Half Moon Bay.
