Just wanted to give a shout out to Jennifer at Lowdoller. She’s in charge of our shipping department. If you’ve called in, you’ve likely talked to Jenn. She’s also the one who builds the wiring kits. I’d hate to know how many she’s done now!

Here’s some really interesting data on drag wings vs the “Nine Lives” big wang. Some of this is expected, but the most interesting piece of data to me was the rear lift they measured at only 10 degrees of rotation (car getting sideways under power).

This explains exactly what we’ve seen in tire crush data, wheel speed data, steering angle data and in yaw data.

From a closed loop control perspective, I will likely build some advanced tables that deploy the chutes over a given mph when the car experiences yaw. (Based on this information, we all should be doing this).

Also- I’d like to see if I can capture some of this data on the car but I need some help from aerodynamics experts to make sure I’m taking measurements in the correct locations.

Thinking about adding some micro load cells in the wings. Thoughts?

This thing right here pure goodness!

The fiberglass bodied 65 fastback drag n drive build got the final blocking and epoxy primer, and alittle final mock up assembly on the frt end. Soon we will get the body off the chassis and get it put to powder coat, then put the body back on and paint. Lots more pics scattered about this fb page Sooo close!
