Meet Mark Wayne, our November Instructor Spotlight at our West Bloomfield, MI location!

Mark has taken on classroom instruction at West Bloomfield, bringing his student-focused approach to helping new drivers build their knowledge and confidence behind the wheel. Although he has been teaching driver education for just seven months, he enjoys working with students and seeing their progress as they learn to drive. He appreciates All Star Driver Education’s thorough process and student-focused approach, which help support students throughout their learning experience.

Mark emphasizes that safe driving starts with paying attention, scanning ahead, using turn signals and always checking your blind spots. He also believes courtesy toward other drivers is an important part of sharing the road safely.

For new drivers, roundabouts and freeway merging can be especially challenging. Mark encourages students to stay calm, follow the process and anticipate what may happen on the road. He also makes a point of helping nervous students take a breath, stay focused and build confidence over time.

One of Mark’s most rewarding experiences was working with a student who struggled with parking. After practicing together and working through helpful tips, the student made significant progress and thanked Mark for the difference he made. Moments like these make teaching worthwhile!

Join us in celebrating Mark and the patience, guidance and student-focused approach he brings to helping new drivers succeed!

National may be coming to a close, but supporting a new driver doesn’t stop when they earn their license.

The first year behind the wheel is an important time for teens to gain experience and develop the judgment they’ll rely on for years to come. Parents and caregivers can help by continuing to set expectations, talk through challenging situations and encourage safe choices every time their teen drives.

Keep the conversation going beyond this week. The guidance and example you provide can help your teen build safer habits that last well beyond their first year on the road.
