It is with an extremely heavy heart to announce this. It is something I have been searching ways to avoid. Ultimately leading to the same conclusion, to close the doors.
Unfortunately, it is financially unsustainable and irresponsible to continue operations. I have personally ate the costs leaving me empty handed monetarily for the last two years.
Our family has served the community around Smithfield since 1990 from when we started as Weddles Auto Sales & Wrecker Service to Pounds Towing and Pounds Auto Repair.
My late grandparents Reverand Mary and Lawrence Pounds financed the business upon it opening. It was ran by my late Aunt Sharon and my Uncle Robert who is still with us living it up in the Mountains of Virginia kayaking. I have been running it since 2015 after reopening the family business.
We will be closing our doors after 35 years this June. I am out of options and at the end of the road. There is a small chance I may be able to re-open, but it would take a miracle. If you would like to help send me an email at [email protected]
Thank you for all the memories, the wonderful people we have met and helped over the years. As I grew up around towing to the many years I spent away from North Carolina. The best part of my life has been the last 10 years running and operating my families business.
It has been a real honor to teach those who have worked under me. Watch them grow and succeed moving onto bigger things and bigger trucks. I gave every single person that walked through my doors 100% opportunity to be a better person and learn how to be a tow truck operator.
Again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I love each and every one of you. It has been a blessing to be the one you call when you need help.
