Haven’t been posting much. I think gas prices might lead to a slow down. I would encourage to go anyway. So many places in just a 150 mile radius. Maybe explore where you have not been. Resist the urge to destination hop, but just decompress in one place for awhile. You’ve made the investment. The coach will require money to maintain/repair anyway. This area has many more days suitable to be out than traditional summer days. Take advantage of the time to unplug and reconnect.

Ok people, big dump of rain last night. Now is the time to go check your coach for leaks. Don’t wait till spring. If you have questions about your roof or siding concerning leaks, bring it by and I’ll check it for free. You have to schedule an appointment though. Offering a winterization special. We will winterize the water system and de-winterize come spring time. We will also offer an external inspection of roof and sidewalls for potential leaks as well. If it’s just a minor touch up needed on sealing, this will be included in the charge. Much like changing batteries in your smoke alarms when you change clocks, checking for leaks in spring and fall makes good sense. We’re offering this service for $120. 530-776-7448, ask for David

I’d like to bring to knowledge a particular issue with newer coaches. Those with electric refridgerators, ran by the batteries and a solar system or inverter. Leaving these on during periods of non use will tax the electrical system. The cycling up and down of the voltage level puts a strain on the batteries. Their life cycle is shortened. The periods of low voltage will strain connections and circuitry in electrical systems…contact points, circuit boards. If the coach is not plugged in, it’s wise to turn off Refridgeration and other loads to keep batteries topped up.

The biggest problem I see this time of year is excessive amp draw on 30 amp service. Look at your breaker panel. Do you have a WH or water heater breaker? Turn it off during periods of time you use the air conditioning.

One day you wake up and realize, you been working at the business for 50 years. We started in 1975. Still here, solving problems for friends, even saving a few vacations now and then. I’m still answering the phone on weekends. We don’t do everything, but we do what a lot of others won’t. We have our niche. I feel good about our place in the rv realm and I’m satisfied. Call me if you need. If I can’t help you, I’ll try to send you to someone who can.

Shout out to JE ceramic tile. Jason, the owner, was kind enough at Home Depot to offer assistance to me loading some heavy lumber. It’s refreshing in today’s society for it to happen. It says something about him to offer help on a 103 degree day. It tells me this may be the kind of guy I would want to do my tile work.

We’re going to be doing a special on roof coatings. I’ve been researching the best coatings and methods to provide long lasting, affordable results. Now doing the best silicone coating at the acrylic price structure, for the next three jobs. This is a 10 year coating at a minimum. I recommend to apply on coaches 2018 and earlier. Give us a call. It will not just protect the roof but will give you cooler temps inside too. You reap the benefits right away.
