🚨 UPDATED SCAM ALERT 🚨
While the scam texts may look different the message from DMV is still the same: these messages are part of a nationwide scam affecting people in every state.
Notifications are posted on both the Alaska DMV website: https://dmv.alaska.gov/home/news/scam-alert-fraudulent-text-messages/ and the Alaska Court System's website: https://courts.alaska.gov/ advising that these are scams.
Please be aware that the DMV will never text customers requesting payment or personal information. If you receive a message claiming to be from the DMV and asking for payment, it is a scam. Protect yourself by ignoring and reporting these suspicious texts as spam.
