No subwoofer? No problem. 🔊🔥

This 2018 Camaro SS came to us with a very specific goal: incredible clarity and strong midbass without adding a subwoofer. So we built the system around exactly that.

Up front, the factory 6x9s were replaced with Helix Compose i3 8” drivers, paired with Helix Compose i3 1” tweeters in the dash. We added Helix Basic 6.5” coaxials in the rear side panels, then fabricated custom speaker plates for the previously unused rear deck to house another pair of Helix Compose i3 8” midbass drivers.

Everything runs active through a Helix V Eight amplifier/DSP, flush-mounted into the trunk for a clean, factory-style finish. With full DSP control, we were able to time-align and tune the entire system specifically for this Camaro.

We also treated the front doors with SoundShield to help control resonance and road noise while giving those 8s the environment they need to perform.

The result? Exactly what the client asked for — clean, detailed sound with impressive midbass and no subwoofer required. 👊🏼

Good morning people! Guess what today is......!

It's my 27th Anniversary with Perfectionist Auto Sound and Compustar ! Can you believe that?

I want to thank everyone of you that has been a part of this amazing journey with me! I've given 36 years of my life to the 12v industry and I wouldn't change a thing...okay maybe 3 things lol. Anyway, I'm so grateful to still be here and working in a place that I love so much!

This one received the full treatment with SoundShield sound deadening material installed throughout the entire vehicle.

Doors, floors, trunk and more — properly treating the vehicle helps reduce road noise, vibration and unwanted resonance, creating a quieter, more refined ride and a much better environment for the audio system to perform. 🔊

🙌🏼 Some builds are just worth showing off...

This Cadillac originally came up from California with a trimmed-out trunk that needed some serious attention. We gutted the existing setup, including removing the hydraulic system, and rebuilt the trunk with vinyl matched to the car’s interior for a much cleaner, more finished look.

For the details, we laser-cut custom battery trim from mirrored acrylic and added engraving designed to complement the hydraulic pump.

The finished Cadillac has gone on to pick up a few awards at local car shows, and we’re proud to have played a part in this build!
