When the owner doesn’t want to work on his own vehicle, so we send it off to another shop to do the upgrades.

Over the weekend we put our business phones down and enjoyed some much needed family time.
Tonight we are going to sit down and reply to everyone who has messaged us.
Friendly reminder, we are closed until Tuesday September 8th and currently booked out until Thursday the 10th.

We will be closing from August 31st through September 8th as we prepare for the upcoming winter season.
During this time, we'll be revamping our van, carrying out essential maintenance, and getting everything ready to continue providing the best service possible. We will still be checking and replying to messages, but there may be a slight delay in our response times.

When a fellow shop calls, sometimes you just can't say no.

Today, the owner took on a Corvette with a catastrophic driveline failure. The customer/shop owner asked Quentin to safely remove the damaged internals without destroying the casing so it could be rebuilt.

Five minutes after it hit our bench, the internals were out and the housing was saved; ready for reassembly.

We don't just help the public. We're proud to support other shops when they need a hand. Working together, sharing knowledge, and getting the job done right is what it's all about.

As Quentin says, "Partner up and make things happen." 💪

Update on the transmission: IT'S DONE! 🎉

These guys came out to help Quentin with this transmission job, and they showed up ready to work. Did they ask for anything? Not a thing. Their only goal was to get this truck back on the road for the single mom that all of you helped through your generous donations. We were going to take pictures throughout the whole process, but Mileena took the kids out with Quentin’s mother-in-law and we were all hands on deck at all times.

We want to say thank you to everyone who made this possible. From every single person who donated to every business that stepped up to help. This job was completed on a lift inside a shop after a sister shop generously donated the space. It truly took a community coming together.

The vehicle is officially back on the road! 🚗

What started as a one time opportunity turned into something incredible that our team was able to accomplish in a very short amount of time. We couldn't have done it without all of you.

We'll be back on the next job Monday. The Stonerock team will be taking tomorrow, Sunday the 9th, to rest and recharge.

This week has been incredibly rewarding and honestly, it’s a reminder of why we do what we do. We were able to organize a donation to help a single mother who has fallen on hard times. Tomorrow morning, we’ll be pulling her truck into the shop and getting started on tearing it down so we can help get her back on the road.

We also repaired two transmissions this week, one of which was an insurance claim and we were able to lend one of our smaller vehicles to a woman in our community who was in need of reliable transportation.
These moments mean so much to us. It’s not just about fixing vehicles, it’s about helping people, showing up for one another and being there when someone needs a helping hand.

We’ve been so incredibly touched by the way our state has come together. And to all of our friends and family outside of the state who donated, shared our posts, and helped spread the word, we see you, and we appreciate you more than you know.
Every donation, share, every kind word, and every person who has supported what we’re doing has made a difference.

UPDATE AS OF 08/06/26! WE HAVE ALL THE MONEY FOR THE DONATION TOWARDS THE TRANSMISSION! Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, liked, and commented! We will keep everyone updated once it’s picked up and the job is completed.

We have an update on our donation!

We are now sitting at $2,621 collected, which means we need $724.58 before Friday to pay for and pick up the new transmission.

Today the guys had the opportunity to complete an insurance claim for a customer. Yes, you read that right! Someone vandalized this 2017 Ram 1500 by pulling the transmission harness out of the transmission, causing a no start condition. After arriving on site, our team confirmed the starter was working properly and documented the damage with photos. We showed everything to the customer, who immediately contacted his insurance company.

At first, the insurance company thought the claim sounded too unusual to be real. They contacted our owner, Quentin, and asked to meet at the vehicle. We walked them through exactly what happened, confirmed there was no additional damage, and they approved the repair right there on site.

The next challenge was finding the parts. The dealership told Quentin the engine harness had been discontinued. He called every dealership in the state of Alaska before expanding his search to the lower 48. After countless calls, he located what he was told was the last brand new engine harness available for this truck. It was in stock at a dealership in the lower 48 and took three weeks to arrive. Once the harness came in, it took a full day's work to complete the repair. The transmission had to be opened, and the valve body removed, to replace the solenoid pack where the harness connects.

By the end of the day, the Stonerock team had the truck repaired and the owner safely back on the road.

The transmission is at Dowling O'Reilly's and thanks to all of your incredible support, we've raised just over $2,000 toward getting it replaced!

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who has donated, shared, or helped in any way. We sincerely appreciate each and every one of you.

Every dollar raised goes directly toward the transmission needed to get her back on the road. We're sure this mama is at home crying tears of joy, not from sadness, but because she's been reminded that we truly have an amazing community that comes together when someone is in need.

Update: Transmission was purchased today!

🚨 Community, We Need Your Help! 🚨

Today we're reaching out on behalf of one of our loyal customers who could really use our community's support.

She is a hardworking single mother raising twins a boy and girl, both of whom have ongoing medical needs that require frequent appointments. Recently, her vehicle suffered a major transmission failure, leaving her without reliable transportation to get to work and care for her children. We aren’t willing to go into more detail, but if she chooses to share her story, she’s more than welcome to.

To help get her back on the road, we're hoping to raise $3,345.58 to cover the cost of the replacement transmission, fluids, and a small cushion for any additional parts that may be needed during installation. The transmission has already been ordered and is here in stock, but we have just 5 days to pay for it.

As a small business, we simply can't cover the entire cost ourselves, but we know what an incredible community we have, and we believe that together we can make this happen.

If you know, you know! 💪🔧

A couple of years ago, this customer came to us for wheel bearings for replacement. Later, she trusted us again with a major timing job, including a new timing chain and water pump. Recently, she called after noticing a clunk while driving.

After a thorough inspection, we found the axles and wheel bearings needed attention. During the repair, we also discovered the sway bar bushings and end links had failed. We took care of the warranty replacement parts, and with the owner's approval, replaced the bushings and sway bar links as well.

This is exactly why we stand behind our work with our in-house warranty. Not only were we able to honor our commitment, but we also caught another issue before it turned into a much bigger and more expensive repairs.

Quality repairs aren't just about fixing what's broken—they're about building trust and keeping our customers safely on the road. Today, this vehicle is driving better than it has in years!
