Featured Unique Classic of The Day: The 1968 C3 Corvette. 🏁
Produced in 1968, the C3 Corvette is the only model that does not feature the “Stingray” branding.
This model was produced from 1963 to 1982 and this 1968 production year did not have the branding, why?
Chevrolet dropped the “Sting Ray” moniker and omitted the badging for the 1968 Corvette because they wanted to mark a clean break with the C2 generation and establish a fresh identity for the all-new C3 “Shark” body. Then the following year it was rebranded as one word, “Sting Ray”.
