Andrea means the world to us and she needs your help right now.
Andrea's dad died while she was still in HS. Her mom passed away a few years after that. Andrea has been on her own with her son and is a fantastic mom with a great work ethic. She's been our daughter's best friend since HS!

It's been quite a while since I've spoke publicly on Joe's medical condition.
The past year has not been kind to him. We were hoping 2026 would be better. It is not. He has lost 70 lbs of muscle mass. It's been extremely hard to watch.

Joe had a MRI on his brain this past Monday.
The brain scan was NOT clean. There is a 9mm mass on his left temporal occipital region. Because of this, he does not qualify for the UW trial. We feel sucker punched again. Dr Folberg of UW said he should go through radiation to kill that spot. Get another MRI of the brain, and IF there is an opening, reapply. This would mean another 4 or more of putting off the trial.
We had grand hopes that this trial would reduce the tumors that are kinking his stent from left kidney to bladder, not allowing the kidney to drain completely. So now he has to consider having the stent go through his back to drain the kidney into an exterior bag. He's very much against that.
He is meeting with Dr Platta on Monday to discuss the radiation.

This is Kelly, Joe Meronk 's wife. He's still fighting cancer. Today, however, we didn't get the news we hoped for. His cancer is progressing. The pain is getting harder to manage. Dr. Held, in Wis Rapids, is putting in a referral for Marshfield for a stronger chemo. And a referral for a urologist as the cancer is affecting the left kidney drainage.
