Yesterday Janie Duque, our Hereford Store Manager, celebrated 23 years with Pak-A-Sak!

If you’ve ever been to Hereford, you already know why Janie is so special to our family. She genuinely loves her customers, knows everyone by name, and has built a team that does the exact same. As a true product of Rex and Robby’s leadership, she runs a tight ship with a huge heart.

We actually just saw a Google review praising her store as the cleanest, most well-stocked, and aesthetically pleasing location ever, saying whoever runs it is “killing it.” We read that and thought, Yep, that is 100% Janie.

Janie, thank you for being such a massive part of our team for over two decades. We appreciate you more than words can say!

Yesterday we had the privilege of celebrating the retirement of one of the BEST in the business, Rex Hensley.

What stood out most was seeing the people who showed up for him. Retirees, his entire store team, and so many members of our Pak-A-Sak family came together to celebrate a man who has made an impact on countless people over his 24 years with PAK.

Most people know Rex as a legend in the grocery and retail industry, and that’s certainly true. But those of us who know him best know he’s also a genuinely good man, a great friend, and someone who has always cared deeply about the people around him.

Rex, thank you for the leadership, the laughs, the friendships, the impressive attitude throughout all circumstances and the example you’ve set along the way. Your impact reaches far beyond the walls of a store.

You’ve spent a lifetime taking care of customers, teammates, and friends. Now it’s your turn. Take it easy, enjoy the ride, and know you’ll always have a place in the Pak family.
