Some jobs are bigger than detailing.
Recently, our K3 Towing family lost someone who meant a lot to all of us. When we heard the news, we reached out and simply asked how we could help.
Every time Black Diamond needed a tow, Will made sure it was him who got dispatched to us. No matter the time, weather, or situation, we could always count on seeing that familiar face pull up. The conversations, the laughs, and the friendship that came with every call are things we won’t forget.
When K3 brought Will’s rollback to us, Will’s wife Jennifer was present. We assured her that we would take it from there, make sure his rig was ready to send him off the right way, and that it would light up every piece of the pavement it rolled on.
This one was a tough one to get through.
The King family has been a part of my life since I was 19 years old. They’ve been there through a lot of chapters in my life, which is why this detail carried a little more weight than most.
This wasn’t just another truck in the shop.
This was for our own, Will Bartlett.
Knowing the man behind the wheel made this one different. It was our honor to play a small part in making sure we sent him off the right way.
As we worked through the detail and prepared the unit for our polish team, it was impossible not to think about the conversations, laughs, and memories from the time we were fortunate enough to share with Will. He always talked about wanting to get his truck detailed, but like so many hardworking people, he was always busy helping everyone else before himself.
Will, we finally got you pressed out like we always said we would one day, brother.
From the entire Black Diamond family to the Bartlett family, the King family, and everyone at K3 Towing, thank you for allowing us to play a small part in honoring one of our own.
We also want to extend a sincere thank you to Top Of Texas Polish for stepping in to help us bring this unit back to life and for the thoughtful gesture of leaving flowers behind for the family. Your kindness did not go unnoticed.
Rest easy, brother. We’ll miss seeing that familiar face.
Tonight at 9:00 PM, there will be a remembrance lighting in honor of Will. We encourage anyone with a rollback, wrecker, tow truck, service truck, work truck, pickup, or any vehicle that meant something to Will or represents the industries and people he served to come out and take part.
Let’s light up the night the same way Will lit up every call he showed up to.
We’ll see you there.
