Good morning everyone just had a call from one of my regular customers about installing a cold air intake on his Honda Accord I have no problem with cold air intakes if you're going to race it but if you're putting it on a daily driver I do not recommend it reason being it is an open air filter assembly and what that means is the filter is not in a box it's just sitting out in the open air in the engine compartment by being in such a place it is exposed to excessive water excessive Road Grime excessive dust and they have a tendency of plugging up really really fast and most people don't know this but you need to service those filters at least once every 20 hours of service and most people don't do that so the filter plugs up and it'll suck a hole in itself and then it'll just start sucking all that dirt and grime and Road film up into your engine now if you do want them or higher air flow filter for your car so you can get a little better mileage in a little more horsepower out of it I do recommend the k and M Factory filter replacement system all it is is a filter that looks exactly like your factory filter it goes in the airbox the exact same way your factory filter did it's a very good system it works very well one note you have to take in account though is that you need to buy the k and M service kit for the filter and this filter will need to be serviced every time you do a oil chang
