Gear up and get ready for Alvarado's 2025 Community Safety Day! 🚒🚓🚁🚧 The City of Alvarado Fire Department has teamed up with the Alvarado Police Department and Public Works, along with countless Community Safety Partners, to make this an evening on the Square that you won't want to miss! Good Mid-day!

Keeping our eye on the upper level system that has a small chance of bring moisture during our coldest temps of the winter so far. This is not a big icing event, but the chance for some glaze ice is there.

Unfortunately, this will be a last minute event and I don’t believe we will know until it happens. Just know it’s possible to have impacts to travel on Wednesday morning.

Tomorrows model run and data will hopefully give us enough inside to make any recommendations.

ISD Superintendents are already engaged and watching as well. I’ll chat with them after the morning data comes out from NWS. I suspect it may be a late into the night or very early morning call because it could go either way.
