We got the 1969 Shelby gt500 started today !

This car sure checks alot of boxes as a car guy.
The fact that I got it running today speaks volumes on this 30,000 mile survivor car .

I made it back 3,000 miles in 54 hours of driving . Now to unload car tomorrow and see if I can get it to start

My travels have lead my up north this week to seek out this rare 1969 Shelby gt500 .
Ram air super cobra jet Shelby
auto with drag pack .
Only 30,000 miles on the clock . She will be headed back to Texas to get cleaned up and running again . This car has been off the road since 2008 .
We are excited to have the opportunity to get our hands on this car . We will validate engine numbers and other items when we get it home and examine the Marti report along with getting additional history on this car .

People run these things and don’t do the maintenance

Everything that can even take fluid on this thing was low or bone dry.
Diff cover every bolt was loose .
Pinion seal leaking and nut wasn’t tight so it had some movement in it .

All fixed and no lights on the dash .

Previous owner said needed abs sensors but never checked the master cylinder it took almost a pint of fluid . Smmfh .

Power washed under jeep and 15 miles and no leaks so far . Cleaned it up so I can identify leaks easier . Crazy people just run stuff and don’t take care of things.
I’ve spent maybe $30 on this jeep and some time servicing everything that’s it .

This might be about as smart as a boat purchase . Lol I just can’t leave stuff alone .
