Today, our family had the honor of speaking at the Altus Rotary Club. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by some of the most caring, genuine, and supportive people you could ever hope to meet.
We want to sincerely thank the President of the Altus Rotary Club and all of the Rotarians for giving us the opportunity to share our story. We were allotted about 15–20 minutes for our presentation, and somehow I managed to stretch that to 26 minutes!
What many of you don’t know is that my staff has been taking wagers on how long I would talk. They know that when I’m passionate about something, time simply doesn’t exist. Once I start sharing our journey, it’s hard to stop.
More importantly, we were grateful for the opportunity to tell the story of Makai’s Automotive Detailing. One thing I forgot to mention during the presentation is that everything we’ve built—from our business locations to the future Makai’s Automotive Detailing Academy—has been accomplished with zero loans and zero outside investors.
What started in a small garage has grown into something truly special. Today, Makai’s Automotive Detailing is the largest detailing company with over three locations and growing in the State of Oklahoma. That growth didn’t come from investors or bank loans—it came from hard work, determination, faith, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to our customers and community.
A special thank you to Tommy for getting us into Rotary and helping make this opportunity possible. Thank you to Deven as well. It was wonderful seeing so many familiar faces from throughout the community. Moments like today remind us how blessed we are to be part of such an incredible area and to have the support of so many great people.
Thank you again to the Altus Rotary Club for the warm welcome, the hospitality, and the opportunity to share our journey. We truly appreciate each and every one of you and look forward to continuing to serve this community for many years to come.
The message we wanted everyone to take away is simple: you don’t need investors, you don’t need loans, and you don’t need a perfect situation to build something meaningful. What started in a garage has grown into multiple locations, future expansion plans, the upcoming Makai’s Automotive Detailing Academy, and a company that continues to create opportunities and serve customers across Oklahoma every single day.
