Everybody's got an opinion about the economy. Your brother-in-law's got one. The guy at the gas station's got one. The TV's got about forty.

Here's ours: the smartest boat on the lake this year is the one that's already paid for.

That 20-year-old motor on your transom doesn't care about interest rates. It doesn't need financing or a 72-month commitment. It needs parts. A crankshaft. A bearing carrier. A prop shaft. A stator that hasn't sat under a tree for 3 years. Maybe a whole powerhead, maybe just the one piece standing between you and Saturday morning.

That's what we do. We tear down motors every day and save the good stuff — inspected, tested where it counts, and sold by people who know a Mercury from a Mariner without reading the sticker. If we wouldn't run it, we don't sell it.

New motors are on sale everywhere right now. Fixing the one you've got is still cheaper.

Coffee pot's been running since 5:30. We're a little short staffed this week, so the standards for who counts as an employee have dropped considerably.

She can't answer phones. She can't pull parts. But she showed up, and right now that puts her ahead of some people.

Point is — we're still here, still shipping, still answering questions. Lower units, uppers, ignition parts, and the rest. If you need something for a fall project, reach out. A human will get back to you. Eventually a human. Probably a human.

Same cowling, same dent, same spot on the transom worn smooth by forty years of the same hand reaching for it.

Keeping one of those running isn't really a repair. It's a favor to somebody who isn't around to ask for one.

Inspected used OEM parts shipped straight to your door, so the only thing you're paying shop rates for is the stuff you actually can't do yourself. Your wallet just exhaled.
