Wyoming…
Today, August 24, is a good day to remember that the place we call home has a story that stretches back long before statehood, highways, ranches and town signs.
In fact, there’s a little Wyoming history happening today in Cody, where a screening of Before Wyoming: The West in 1776 takes a look at what the West was like 250 years ago—long before Wyoming became the 44th state.
It’s a good reminder that around here, “old” is a relative term. 😉
So here’s your Today in Wyoming question:
What piece of Wyoming history—big or small—do you think more people ought to know?
Tell us in the comments. We may feature a few of your answers in a future Alpine Standard post.
