Coolant where it shouldn’t be = never a good sign.

Pulled this L5P in for a pressure test and confirmed what we suspected — cracked cylinder heads. No band-aid fixes here.

Going in with a fresh set of Wagler Competition L5P heads and ARP head studs. Built to handle the abuse and not look back.

Have a Duramax that has the disappearing modification done? Here some signs to look for a bad head gasket on a Duramax.

Low coolant light comes on
Use more coolant the harder you work the truck
Coolant on the left side of the coolant reservoir
Black specs stuck to the coolant reservoir
Upper radiator hose it hard
Coolant pressure rises up everything you put a load on the truck

Time for a LML head gasket job on this 15-16.

This L5P came in with a ticking noise on startup… found the culprit. Rocker arms are all scored up, that’s your problem right there.

We don’t just start throwing parts at it though. Pull it apart first, see what’s actually going on, THEN tell you what needs fixing.

Got the issue nailed down, truck’s about to be back on the road.
