Colorado’s annual Free Fishing Weekend is June 6–7, 2026. During this 48-hour window, the requirement for a fishing license and Habitat Stamp is completely waived for all residents and nonresidents of all ages.

Because of their courage and selflessness, we get to enjoy the freedom to gather on the water, create memories with family and friends, and experience the beauty of Taylor Park Reservoir.

We are deeply grateful for their service and the freedoms we cherish every single day on the lake.

🚨 Cottonwood Classic rescheduled to May 21!
This means Gunnison County is pushing the full opening of Cottonwood Pass to TBD (right after the ride hopefully). Mother Nature is giving us a little more much needed winter weather, which is pushing back that glorious pass opening we’ve all been waiting for.
