Friendly reminder for City landfill and dumpsters:

•Rules for trash dumpsters:
No oversized items that have not been broke down
•Boxes are to be broke down before placing them in the dumpsters
• no tires are to be placed in the dumpsters
• construction materials are not to be disposed of in the dumpsters
• no mattresses or box springs
• if items do not fit properly in the dumpster without sticking out, they are not to be placed in the dumpsters
• no items are to be left around or beside the dumpsters
• if you spill trash is to be immediately cleaned up and placed in the dumpster, not left on the ground
• if a dumpster is full, do not overfill it take your trash to the next dumpster

With temperatures reaching 105°F and this extreme heat expected to continue for the next few days, we'd like to share an important reminder to help keep your air conditioning running efficiently.

Please do not set your thermostat below 71°F. Setting it lower will not cool your home faster and may cause the air conditioning unit to freeze up. If this happens, the system will stop cooling and may take several hours to thaw before it can operate properly again.

If you'd like your home to feel cooler, placing a fan near an air vent can help circulate the cool air more effectively throughout your home.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we work together to help keep everyone's air conditioning running as smoothly as possible during this period of extreme heat.
