THROTTLE BODY THURSDAY!

Today at East Side Auto Haven, our team is working on a throttle body repair on a Kia Soul

So, what does the throttle body actually do? 👇🏽

The throttle body plays an important role in controlling the amount of air entering your engine. It works with your vehicle’s engine computer to help regulate acceleration, engine performance, and the proper air-fuel balance.

When the throttle body becomes dirty, damaged, or starts malfunctioning, you may experience:

⚠️ Rough or unstable idling
⚠️ Poor acceleration
⚠️ Stalling
⚠️ Reduced fuel efficiency
⚠️ Check engine light
⚠️ Delayed or inconsistent throttle response

A properly functioning throttle body is essential for smooth acceleration, consistent engine performance, and overall drivability.

If your vehicle isn’t running or responding the way it should, don’t ignore the warning signs. Get it checked out before a small issue turns into a bigger repair.

WHEEL BEARING WEDNESDAY! 🛞

Today’s job spotlight: our team just completed a wheel bearing replacement on a Chevy Impala! 💪🔧

But what exactly do your wheel bearings do?

Wheel bearings are an important part of your vehicle’s wheel assembly. They allow your wheels to rotate smoothly and efficiently while supporting the weight of your vehicle. When they begin to wear out, they can cause symptoms like humming or grinding noises, vibration, uneven tire wear, or even noticeable play in the wheel.

⚠️ Don’t ignore the warning signs! A worn wheel bearing can become a serious safety concern if left unchecked. Getting it inspected and replaced when needed helps keep your vehicle running smoothly and, most importantly, helps keep you and your passengers safe.

From wheel bearings to brakes, tires, inspections, engine work, and more, East Side Auto Haven is your full service destination for everything automotive!
