Nice pair!
these were my wife and I daily drivers quite a few years ago now. I have very found memories of these two. Do valves, head gasket and timing belt on the jetta. I replaced all the small parts around the motor. Hoses, vacuum lines, pcv, solenoids... It was either dryrot and cracked, oil soaked and cracked, or just completely failed. But when I was done the golf kept overboosting and still giving me ~40mpg on the hwy!
