For many years, Kathy Boop and Jack Griffin shared a great friendship. Kathy was with Jack on the morning of September 20 when the car they were traveling in was involved in an accident that took Jack’s life. Kathy survived the accident, but suffered serious injuries and faces a long recovery.

Kathy has undergone multiple surgeries and will be unable to resume work for the foreseeable future. The Garages of America team set up a fundraiser to help Kathy with ongoing expenses while she heals.

Kathy is a dear friend of the Garages of America family and we want to support her in any way we can. We ask that you please consider making a donation to this fundraiser. Every gift will help ease the financial pressure on Kathy and allow her to focus on recovery.

Thank you for helping us support someone who means so much to the Garages of America community.

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Jack Griffin, co-founder of Garages of America (originally founded as Garages of Texas).

Jack’s passion for automobiles began as a child in his father’s garage and grew into a remarkable life in the automotive world. He became an accomplished endurance racer, competing at Daytona, Sebring and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as an avid collector with a particular appreciation for Porsches.

Jack understood that special automobiles are about more than the vehicles themselves. They bring people together through shared experiences, stories and friendships. That belief became a part of the vision for Garages of America.

Today, the community he helped create extends across Texas, bringing together collectors and enthusiasts who share the passion that was such an important part of Jack’s life.

But Jack’s legacy cannot be measured only by the races he entered, the cars he collected or the company he helped build. It lives in the friendships he formed, the stories he shared and the countless people he welcomed into the automotive community.

Jack was our co-founder, partner and friend. His presence and influence will always remain part of Garages of America.

Friends of Jack are remembering him during a gathering on Tuesday, September 22 at 6:30 pm at Garages of America Carrollton located at 2323 Tarpley Road, Carrollton. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Our hearts and prayers are with Jack’s family and friends.
