A few years ago i was approached to buy wcm. After 6 months it had not sold. After considerable thought i made the purchase. Some friends and I made the drive to go pick it all up.
Included with all this was the trademark name WCM. All of its drawings, molds, tooling, bodies, parts for the wcm cars. Later that summer i made the long drive to texas to puck up all of the jigs and chassis parts. I picked up the 32 mold and many more wcm items.
I spent thousands for all if it! I invested the $$$$$ i took the chance!
In the last couple years i have invested more &$$ into the bodies and the molds!
I personally have stepped up and designed and figured out how to make items for 1/4 scale. I didn’t copy others. I either designed and made it myself ir purchased the rightsand equipment to produce parts.
A couple weeks ago i went to pick up another 150 bodies while doing this i met a couple individuals to drop some off. They proceeded to tell me all about how there making chassis to copy wcm. How they wanna buy parts to build cars and sell the. Well after driving home and evaluating all of this my purchase of wcm was nust that. Many had the opportunity to buy the company. For 6 months nobody did!
I stepped up. However the problem with 1/4 scale will never change! Qsac has removed wcm from there manufacturing list! I have sent countless emails the last 2 years with absolutely no reply ! There is still no transparency!
You had qsac officials that were not qsac members! Same s**t different day!!
You want to make your own stuff? Fine. Design it yourself and quit copying others!!!
I have absolutely no intention or desire to sell anyone parts that wants to copy what i paid for! I have had these exact conversations with the other 1/4 scale manufacturers about all if this the last couple weeks.
