In 1962 Bill Stevens Sr. bought Club Car from a company in Houston, Texas. That same year he went all in and decided that himself and Bill Stevens Jr. would drive their Club Car from Augusta, Georgia, all the way to the PGA Show in Dunedin, Florida! Their 400+ mile adventure took 6 days. It was a risk they were willing to take, as this showed everyone in the golf industry that Club Car was reliable and built to last!
