Sometimes God isn't saying no. He's asking us to trust Him with the timing.
That is hard when we're anxious. We want the answer, the open door, the relationship restored, the problem solved. We believe we know how everything should work out, so we try to skip ahead and make it happen ourselves.
Then we wonder why we're exhausted.
Psalm 27:14 tells us, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”
But look at the confidence that comes right before that instruction. In verse 13, David says, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.”
That changes how we wait.
We can look ahead expecting God's goodness instead of imagining every possible disaster. We can trust that He is present in our lives today, even when we cannot see what He is doing.
We don't have to control every outcome. We are not forging ahead alone, trying to build a future with nothing but our own strength and limited understanding.
We have a Father who sees what we cannot see.
Surrender means bringing Him our desires, our fears, and our carefully arranged plans, then trusting Him enough to loosen our grip. His goodness may arrive differently than we expected, but we can trust His character while we wait.
God has not forgotten you because the door hasn't opened yet.
Keep praying. Take the next faithful step. Let Him carry what you were never meant to carry alone.
