⚙️ Deep Dive into A2B: Audison Retrofit on 2025 Audi A3 with SONOS System! 🔊
​We love a challenge, and the recent audio retrofit on this 2025 Audi A3 was one of the most technically demanding jobs we've faced this year!
​The vehicle came equipped with the factory SONOS sound system, a new platform that relies on sophisticated A2B (Automotive Audio Bus) sound management. When the user decided to upgrade to a premium Audison system, we knew it wasn't just a simple swap.
​The Technical Hurdles We Overcame:
​A2B Integration: The original SONOS amplifier works in conjunction with the MMI and the crucial Emergency Call module (E-Call). Removing the amplifier required extensive coding, adaptations, and parameter changes across multiple modules to ensure the A2B network functioned without the physical component.
​SFD2 Protection: As a 2025 model, the car utilizes SFD2 (Schutz Fahrzeug Diagnose V2). Coding both the MMI and Telematics modules required advanced SFD2 token calculations to bypass the security lock, which is a major barrier for standard diagnostics.
​Microphone Rework: The final challenge was the microphone, which is also managed by the A2B system. After the initial retrofit, the microphone was not working, requiring a second deep dive into the A2B coding and component adaptations to restore hands-free and voice control functionality.
​The Result: A perfectly integrated Audison sound system delivering breathtaking audio quality, with every factory feature (including MMI, E-Call, and Microphone) fully functional!
