The Kirtland Auto Hobby Shop is a full-service car repair shop for minor repairs and tune-ups, as well as a do-it-yourself mechanic’s playground, with all the bays, lifts, tools and equipment needed to get the project done right. The facility is open to all base personnel and their families. In the shop’s 13-bay Auto Center, customers can do minor and major engine repairs, bodywork, oil ch
anges, and more. For do-it-yourselfers, experienced ASE certified mechanics and the latest equipment are on-hand to assist you in diagnosing your vehicle’s particular needs. The shop’s knowledgeable staff of mechanics are also available to perform oil changes and other light repairs and up-keep, including brakes, mount and balance for most tires, turn rotors, serpentine belts, external water pumps, starters, alternators, struts, shocks, coolant drain and refill, and more. The staff is always happy to offer customers hands-on tutorials for properly maintaining their own vehicle. The Kirtland Auto Hobby Shop is located on Texas St across from the 24 hr do it yourself car wash and used car lot.
