Day 2, great day with a nicely improved time on first run! Fastest for us so far at Lands Ends. Slightly bent a wheel and had a right rear caliper failure that lost brakes. Pulled a caliper from Sparky's Automotive Outback and went out for run 2. Unfortunately, we cut a corner too much and blew out a tire half way up on a rock resulting in a DNF. Still a great day! We were the only car in our Rally Lite class, but still got a first place trophy 😜. Great weekend! Many thanks for those that came along to help with service.

Had a great first day at the Lands End International Hill Climb. Only swapped one axle upfront that had a torn boot. We got an awesome crew again this year helping out. Day two starts soon!

It's official, we have completed our first hill climb! Here is a video of our best timed run last weekend. Many thanks to Sparky's Automotive and Desert Monkey Rally - Dmrally for helping out at the event.

We had a great time at our first hill climb! This was at the 2018 Lands End International Hill Climb hosted by the Colorado Hill Climb Association.

We’ve been experiencing bad hesitation in the upper RPMs lately so we went to work to troubleshoot the problem with the help of Dmrally. We started with checking fuel pressure and found it was a whopping 80psi! Removing vacuum on the regulator did not change the fuel pressure. Next we disconnected the return hose to the fuel tank and ran it into a pan to see if there was a block in the line. Pressure immediately dropped into the high 30s, which is exactly where we want it.

Further troubleshooting of the return line to the fuel tank found that after applying high air pressure through it (other end disconnected from tank) that we had chunks of dirt stuck in there! A picture of the paper towel shows the brown crud that blew through. We put a new fuel filter in and the engine is running great now.

We’re heading to Colorado Hill Climb Association’s Land’s End event next weekend so look forward to further updates!

Our friends over at Circuit Motorsports hooked us up with a few parts, including this ACT street clutch and streetlite lightwheel. The opposite side of the crankshaft saw a new Fluidampr pulley as well. We’ve enjoyed this flywheel in our daily 2.5RS and felt it was a worthy upgrade while the engine was out!
