Just a friendly reminder from the W.A.D team!
Blue Collar Workers: Hydration Isn’t Optional
For those of us working in the trades, construction, landscaping, detailing, farming, trucking, and other blue-collar jobs, hot weather isn’t an excuse to stop working—but it is a reason to take hydration seriously.
When you’re putting in long hours in the heat, your body can lose several liters of water through sweat before you even realize it. By the time you feel thirsty, you’re already starting to become dehydrated.
A few reminders for hardworking men and women:
✅ Drink water before, during, and after work
✅ Take short breaks in the shade when possible
✅ Watch for headaches, dizziness, muscle cramps, and fatigue
✅ Don’t try to “tough it out” if you’re feeling overheated
✅ Check on your coworkers—heat exhaustion can sneak up fast
Working hard is something to be proud of, but staying hydrated is part of getting the job done safely. The toughest workers aren’t the ones who ignore the heat—they’re the ones who know how to manage it and make it home safely at the end of the day.
Work hard. Stay hydrated. Stay safe. 💪☀️💧🚗
