IT’S RAILROAD DAY! ☀️🚂

The griddles are hot and the pancakes are calling. Here’s your day, Alberton:

8am — Seniors’ Pancake Breakfast (until 11)

9am — Vendors + activities open: dunk tank with Frenchtown Rural FD, bounce houses and sports shootouts with Bitterroot Bouncers, Malek Magic, gem panning with the American Legion, Alberton Bear Smart, and rows of local vendors to shop

11am — Parade down Parkway Drive (lineup at 10:30 at the football field facing west—no registration required)

Noon–4 — Jazzoula at the river’s edge

6:30–10:30 — Cahoot’s Band at Sporty’s

8–midnight — Northern Lights Band at Trax

All day long: food and drink from Lemon Drum, Clark Fork & Spoon Kitchen, C**t + Rylen’s, the Ridge Runners Club, and the Methodist Church. Plus contests, raffles, and the Railroad Spike hunt ($100 prize)— clues drop every hour beginning at noon, so stick around and start sleuthing. 🔍

Hank Roat Memorial Park, I-90 Exit 77. Come for the pancakes, stay for everything else. See you at the park!

One day out and the soundtrack is set. 🎶

Jazzoula plays the river’s edge from noon to 4. Then Cahoot’s Band takes over at Sporty’s from 6:30 to 10:30, and Northern Lights Band closes it down at Trax from 8 to midnight, with a few special musical guests scattered throughout the day.

That’s twelve hours of live music in one small town.

Not bad, Alberton. Not bad at all.

3 days out, and Saturday is STACKED with things to do. 🎪

The Frenchtown Rural Fire Department is bringing the dunk tank (is there anything more satisfying on a hot July day?). Bitterroot Bouncers has bounce houses and sports shootouts for the kids and the kids-at-heart. Malek Magic will be working the crowd, the American Legion has gem panning for anyone who wants to strike it rich, and Alberton Bear Smart will be there too, plus plenty more we don’t have room to list.

It all kicks off at 9am at Hank Roat Memorial Park. Bring the whole crew.

The Seniors’ Pancake Breakfast starts things off at 8am. Then it’s Lemon Drum, Clark Fork & Spoon Kitchen, C**t + Rylen, the Ridge Runners Club, the Methodist Church + Deb’s Bread Box keeping everybody fed all day long.

5 days until Railroad Day, so let’s talk parade.

It rolls at 11am Saturday. Want to be IN it instead of watching it? Lineup starts at 10:30 on Parkway Drive at the football field, facing west. Floats, wagons, hot rods, antiques, horses, well-behaved dogs in bandanas, we welcome it all. No registration required.

Start decorating now. You’ve got five days.

🚂 41st Annual Alberton Railroad Day Festival 🚂

Saturday, July 18th

We’re gearing up for another unforgettable Railroad Day in Alberton, and the excitement is already rolling in!

We’re thrilled to share that we have 20+ vendors and counting, and we’re still building an incredible lineup for the day. If you’re a food truck, maker, artist, or local business, we’d love to have you join us and be part of this long-standing community tradition.

We are also especially looking for activities for all ages, and booth space is free for activity-based setups that bring hands-on fun, creativity, and connection to the festival.

Railroad Day is a celebration of community, small-town roots, and the joy of coming together each summer in Alberton.
