Somewhere in the world there’s a window tint tool store like this… and I’m pretty sure I need one of everything. 😅

Every aisle is packed with tools, gadgets, and supplies that any tinter would spend hours checking out. If anyone knows where this store is, let me know—I might have to book a flight. ✈️

What’s the first tool you’d be grabbing?

If there were a Hard Card Hall of Fame, the 3M Gold Bondo Card would be a first-ballot inductee—and you could make a strong case it’s in the top five of all time.
Originally designed for automotive bodywork and paint, the window tint industry discovered its true calling. From tucking film and cleaning edges to countless other uses, this simple card has earned legendary status as one of the most versatile tools in a tinter’s arsenal.

Is this how 44Tools | Tint, PPF, Wrap & Detail Tools was named? 🤔

POV: You go to pick up one tool… and somehow every tool in the shop decides to hit the floor. 🤦‍♂️😂

🚨 New York window tint law update…

There have been proposals to change New York’s legal window tint limit from 70% VLT to 50% VLT. While nothing has become law yet, it’s a topic many drivers and tint shops are watching closely.

A 50% legal limit would give vehicle owners a little more privacy, better heat rejection, and improved comfort while still maintaining visibility.

What do you think?

👇 Should New York keep the current 70% law, or would you support changing it to 50%?

Not every project goes exactly as planned — and that’s okay. What matters most is how you respond when challenges come up.

Recently, we completed a commercial window film installation for Stella’s Ice Cream, and due to a lapse in communication, the film ended up being more reflective than expected from the outside. While the heat rejection and performance were excellent, the exterior reflectiveness limited visibility into the shop and could potentially make customers think the business was closed.

Instead of making excuses, we made it right. We offered to remove the film and replace it with a lighter, less reflective option that still provides comfort and heat rejection while allowing customers to clearly see inside the business.

Mistakes and miscommunications can happen in any industry — accountability, customer service, and standing behind your work are what truly matter. We appreciate the opportunity to make it right and continue building trust one window at a time.

Special thanks to the team at Stella’s Ice Cream for working through the process with us.
