Encore, Hull no 25 is for sale on the Alameda Estuary. Encore was owned by the Valdez family of Columbia Yachts fame and has been well taken care of by its subsequent owners with the bulk heads, ring frames, and deck hardware all having been updated.

We currently have 12 5.5s on the Estuary with 8-9 being actively raced. There are slips available at the Oakland Yacht Club Marina with club membership, with most of the boats all on the same pier, creating a festive atmosphere on race days.

Results are on Jibeset.net www.jibeset.net/show.php?RR=OYC_T004174631&DOC=r15&am... Thirty eight (38) boats on the course, 58 registered. One-Design starts included Harbor 20 class seven (7) finished, Columbia 5.5 seven (7) finished. Merit 25 four (4) boats finished.

OYC Sweet 16 series, race 5, second half. Wild start, with sea-room, starboard boats, ducking and not a single crunch. Good square breeze on the first lap of course 8 made for many crosses and tactical decisions.
