🎗September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, and we wanted to share some of the financial stresses a family feels when battling this disease. Shared with us from a mom with a child battling cancer:

Their child had been in the hospital over 130 days over the last 3 years:
29 ADMISSIONS:
18 for chemo
2 for port
1 biopsy
5 for surgeries
3 for fever
That totaled 130 hospital days x $40,000/day (on avg) = $5,200,000+

Then add in 26 CHEMO TREATMENTS. That added another $580,800.

This is just a rough estimate, and even with 2 insurance plans a lot is not covered 😥 They fight monthly with the insurance company and have to make calls to the hospital to roll over and continue making monthly medical bill payments in the amount of $600+.

This is just one of the MANY reasons we choose to support Childhood Cancer Awareness and the families living that nightmare daily.💛
