UPDATE: Thank you to everyone who shared our post and to the Akron Police Department! Akron Police have arrested the man in the photo and our GLK has been recovered. Unfortunately, he was released on a summons to appear even though he was already on probation. It’s a shame, law enforcement work hard to catch these criminals only to have to chase them again after they are repeatedly released. SMH.

2nd UPDATE: He stole another car from a dealership yesterday (same day he was released).

Vehicle stolen! White 2010 GLK 350. Help us identify this man so we can get our car back. We gave him the keys to look at the GLK in the background and he drove off this morning.

Looking back as we celebrate 30 years of doing business today! Our Dad (pictured right) always said to do what you know is right and always take care of the customer. I wish he was here as we celebrate. Thank you to our many customers over the years. We look forward to many more!

In response to Covid-19 we want our customers to know what we are doing for the health and safety of our employees and guests. We are sanitizing surface areas multiple times each day. Pens, desks, and chairs are being sanitized after each use. We are disinfecting car keys, door handles, and steering wheels as well after every use. We have everyone's best interest and health in mind. Please be considerate of eachother and reschedule your visit for another day if you are not feeling well. Thank you!

Just got surprised with lunch from one of our long time customers! In 1990, our Dad took a chance and left his full time job to chase after his dream of owning his own business. He didn't even have a location picked out. He had the drive, determination and confidence in himself that he knew he could do it. We sat for hours one night as a family trying to come up with a name and finally decided on Dave Dornack's Akron Auto Sales. After weeks searching for a location, he ended up at 2074 E. Market St in Akron. He wanted his kids to experience what running a business was like, and my brother and I began working for him shortly after. Over the years we learned what it takes to survive and succeed in business. That same drive, determination, confidence, and honesty. He was able to retire in 2003. Sadly, our Dad passed away 2 weeks ago. This has been one of the toughest things we've ever had to go through. Losing someone so profound is not easy. He was one of a kind. He always had business on his mind, but at the same time such a witty personality that could make a rock laugh. Silly things he did like asking a statue for directions and pretending to be asleep when you walked in the room. We were so blessed to have him as our Dad. If you knew him or did business with him, you know what we're talking about. We love you Dad, and you will be greatly missed.

I searched for hours for "tent city" in Akron this morning... I finally found it after several tips and spotted the guy who took our Jetta this morning! He is now in the county jail. The Jetta is unharmed. It was an entertaining day at Akron Auto Sales.
