At our Akron location:

As some of you may have noticed, the shifting concrete around the outside of the building has damaged a large portion of the tin on the building, along with the doors and inside drywall. To fix the issue and prevent further damage, the concrete needs to be completely replaced.

This weekend we will be tearing out the concrete on the west side of the building that wraps around to the north side.

The new pad is planned to be formed and poured starting Monday next week.

We will still be open next and are scheduling some work, as three overhead doors will not be affected at this time.

To reduce traffic in the driveway next week, please call the shop to discuss issues and availability prior to showing up. With your (and the weather’s) help, we hope this will be a quick and smooth process.

Please keep in mind these guys have been working their butts off the last week+. We know there are vehicles that need to be towed to either location, but both Stockton needs time to get caught up and we need some time to get all the drifts cleared at each location. Please be patient we are all doing our best to get back on track.

Automotive Technician Wanted for our Akron location.

Wendt Repair is in need of an experienced automotive technician, capable of doing engines, transmissions, timing belt/chains, and has a decent handle on diag. Certifications preferred, but not required. Some experience is required.

Pay depending on experience, anywhere from $20/hour all the way to $35/hour.

Excellent employer provided benefits include, health insurance, retirement matching, paid holidays, paid time off, and 3 day weekends! That’s right, 3 day weekends. You work 4-10 hour days Tuesday-Friday, allowing an extra day to your weekend.

As most everyone is aware, we had shut down our Akron location for the past few weeks due to understaffing. After some adjusting and hiring, we are glad to announce we will be reopening this upcoming week!

We will have a few significant changes.

1) We would like to welcome Todd Bates as the new manager and lead mechanic of our Akron Location. He is excited and ready to serve all your car maintenance needs.
2) We have new and updated hours, which will affect both the Le Mars and Akron locations. Our new hours are Tuesday - Friday 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM. This change will not only benefit our employees by allowing them an extra full day weekend, but will allow us to stay open before and after normal business hours, on the weekdays, to accommodate any of your after hour needs. And
3) Our Akron location will be geared more towards maintenance only services, including but not limited to oil changes, tires, alignments, suspension and brake work.

As a Grand Reopening event, the Akron location will be offering $25 conventional and $45 full synthetic oil changes, with a complimentary inspection through August 26, 2022 (some exclusions apply including diesels and capacity over 8 qts.)
