Hello friends, it's been a long time since I posted anything here for my company but the first thing lately most people are asking me is weather or not we are open for business? Yes We Are! We are allowed to be here to serve you with all your car and truck service needs. We are following all the health and cleanliness guidelines set by the State of Ohio as well as the CDC. All vehicles undergo a strict sanitation procedure when entering and exiting for customer pick up. We look forward to serving our customers throughout this health crises and look forward to hearing from you soon.

This is good information here. I agree with about eighty percent of these as a wise purchase.

Aside perhaps from those who are blindly enamored with a particular make and model, choosing a new vehicle that best meets one’s needs and budget can be a challenging process. Prudent shoppers need to balance emotional aspects of ownership like styling and performance with more sensible motivation...

So face book has been telling me for a wile that you my friends had not heard from Akron Auto for some time and would like to hear from us so here is an example of some of the things we see come through a lot more than one might think. AND IT'S SCARY! Every one wants to save money on many things but auto repairs I would think has to be high on the list. DIY, or a guy who knows a guy. This is an example of the latter that came in for an alignment. Take a look at the two photos to the left, the first one was on the Right side the second the Left. If you haven't already spotted all the things wrong in these photos here goes. 1) No pin in the castle nut. So the nut could work loose and fall off, cause damage to the steering knuckle, or break off the stud. Two out of three could end in a crash. The other A lot more money. 2) NO GREASE! this brand new part might last a month or so with no grease and then another new part. Now you have paid double or more! Most of these guys don't even own a grease gun. 3) The toe (that's an alignment setting) after this guy was done was so far off the car was near undrivable. And I had to ask myself if the same person even worked on both sides or was this a result of getting deeper into the six pack payment? Photo 3 is after I tightened the nut so I could install the pin and greased both up. As well I found a loose inner tie rod and ball joint that was missed so doing the alignment couldn't be done. So I eyeballed the wheels straight as I could by eye to make it more drivable and returned the car to the customer until another day at no cost at all. Now I don't work for free so don't get any Ideas but sometime you just need to do what seems right at the time and hope the potential customer appreciates you looking out for there safety and wellbeing enough they come to your shop as a first thought. Remember friends. "You can buy a cheaper pizza. But then you got to eat it." PLEASE be carful who has your safety in there hands. Thank you for reading!

I don't know if I'm going to offend anyone by saying this but it is NOT my intention to offend.

In my opinion, If our government is going to grant free education to anyone that wants it, it should be in trade schools. That, is an education one could use throughout their life whether it be a career or not. And if you want a higher education, you will have a means of earning it without being buried in debt at the end.

In the very first training class I took for the computerized cars in 1982 the instructor stood in front of the room and speaking to the class said "You are all stupid for going into the auto repair profession." Of course we all sat stunned. He waited a moment and explained, for a doctor, over the course of their career the human body will remain the same. You gentlemen, are entering a profession where technology is going to be changing every year if not half year or even by the month. You will be learning new things constantly through your career, and if you don't you will not succeed. Goober don't work on your car no more. ~Tom ~
