SHAFTERS TIMING ASSOCIATION RACE AND SWAP MEET‼️Here’s a quick rundown of this weekend 🏎️
👉 Vintage Nostalgia Drag Races and Swap Meet, Friday, May 29th, and Saturday, May 30th at Qlispé Raceway Park 👈
⭐️ This 1/8th mile event is for 1972 and earlier entries, no dial-ins, no breakouts, no LS, time boxes, electronics, and Turbo stuff (yes, we all know that's faster), but this is for anyone who's always wanted to see the green light and just Go! Time slips will be available. Race your buddy, car club challenges and call outs, a full day of swap meet treasures, and old school drag racing. No pressure, no judgment, and no intimidation. Just Fun!
⭐️ Always wanted to run your car down the drag strip, but do not want to feel intimidated by full-time racers, here's your chance! Light turns green, and you GO. Grudge match your buddy, call out a car club, or have a full day of family fun. And we'll have a few surprise Nitro cars making some test hits and making noise!
⭐️ Friday, May 29th: No public. Only swap meet vendors and racer setup. Racers Move In 11am-6pm. If camping on the property and racing Saturday, 50.00 each for racers. No charge for camping (Weather permitting, we'll be making passes Friday, arm drop only, no time slips). Swap Meet vendor move starts at 11am. Gates close at 6pm. 40.00 each space for vendors, one truck full to sell 40.00, truck and trailer full to sell, 80.00. Sell Friday and Saturday, or just Saturday, to the public.
⭐️ Saturday, May 30th: Gates open at 8am. Racing to start at 10am. Racing Awards at 4pm. Weather permitting, we can race until 9pm! All 1/8th miles time slips.
⭐️ RACING Tech....all cars require:
*Helmets for the driver and the passenger
*Seat Belts!
*Drivers/Passenger, long pants and shoes! No flip flops and shorts.
*Battery Hold Down
*Double carb return springs
*Radiator overflow catch can
*If running Slicks, MUST have drive shaft loop
*Any car appearing to be faster than 10 seconds will have to adhere to ALL of the NHRA class rules, chassis cert, etc.
👉 This is meant to be an event for anyone to come out, watch, shop, and participate in.
Racers: 50.00 each car, gets driver and one other in.
Swap Meet vendors: 40.00 per spot.
Spectators, parking in the pits Saturday, 10.00 each. Kids 10 and younger FREE.
